Typing on the JCB Tradesman 3 is done using the physical keypad, which features a traditional alphanumeric layout. You can press each key multiple times to cycle through letters and characters. Additionally, the phone supports T9 predictive text, making it easier to type by suggesting words based on the keys pressed. Predictive text can be turned off.
Remove the back cover using the screwdriver provided, then insert up to two micro-SIM cards and an optional SD card. Make sure the battery is removed before doing this.
Press and hold the red Power button on the front of the phone for around 5 seconds. You’ll hear a startup tone and see the JCB logo appear.
Use the original USB cable provided. If the phone doesn’t respond, try a different USB cable or charger. Ensure the port is clean and the battery is correctly installed.

Go to Settings > System > Reset Options > Erase All Data (Factory Reset). This will delete all user data but not system updates.
Ensure the SIM is properly inserted. Clean the SIM contacts with a dry cloth. If the issue persists, contact your network provider to check if the SIM is active.
Poor network signal can cause rapid battery drain. Move to an area with better signal, and avoid letting the battery fully discharge or charge to 100% repeatedly.
Go to Settings > Sound > Phone Ringtone and select a tone or add a custom MP3 from your SD card.
