The Genuine Case Company announce the launch of the new JCB Toughcase range of protective mobile phone covers for iPhone and Samsung. Manufactured under licence from JCB, Toughcase covers are available in a range of colours, drop tested to 1.2m, made from recyclable and sustainable materials and will retail at £19.99. The JCB Toughcase range is aimed at the ‘lifestyle customer’ who wants a combination of protection and good looks.
The team behind Genuine Case Company include Jason Kemp and Roy Taylor, industry veterans of The Caudwell Group and Data Select. Developers of the original JCB Toughphone and more latterly founders of Our Perspective, the team has managed brands including Energizer Mobile and the Monqi Kids Smartphone. In 2020 Genuine Case Company was established, teaming up with Alcatel to provide cases and screen protection for their smartphone range.
Commenting on the partnership with JCB, Founder Roy Taylor said, “Our history with JCB goes back to 2007 when we launched the original JCB Toughphone. We produced several successful products including the ‘World’s Toughest Phone’ and the ‘World’s First Floating Phone’. The market these days is very much iPhone and Samsung so it makes sense to offer protection for the majority of the market”.
JCB Toughcase will be available for iPhone 12, iPhone 11, iPhone SE and for Samsung A21S and A41 models. Manufactured from a combination of hard Polycarbonate (for the back of the case) and flexible TPU (for the shock absorbing bumper of the case). You can choose between a clear back and smoked bumper, black back and smoked bumper or black back and yellow bumper.
“The JCB brand is synonymous with hard wearing quality. A brand you can rely on. Working with JCB we have produced a range of cases that are both stylish and protective, well made and reasonably priced”, added Jason Kemp, Founder of Genuine Case Company. “We know from our research there is strong demand for the JCB mobile brand, given the heritage built up since 2007”.
The new JCB Toughcase range will be supplied in retail packaging which is produced from sustainable FSC approved sources. Deliveries will be available from December 2020.
